A top doctor at a hospital couldn't realistically, and fiscally responsibly afford that.

90% of the OT give their old ladies $100K a month to spend however they like, you know better than that.

My wife and I are apparently in the top 9% of earners in the US. She spends maybe $500 on discretionary items per month. And that's a stretch. It's usually less.

Anyway, she told him that when married she expects $10K a month into an account for her discretionary spending. She also said she plans to quit her job and focus on projects that “inspire and motivate” her.

Sounds like a young selfish person...who will make horrible mother unless she wakes up and decides life isn't about her.

Not marriage material at this time...

He is blinded by her beauty...which happens to many men...

have him look at images of hot women 30 years ago and what they look like today...

then imagine, "10k a month for 30 years"

"you're working, she's off playing all day, and you maybe get to have sex with her once or twice in between her menstrual cycle"

He doesn't need to walk away. He needs to run. Very far. And very fast.

that's 120k/year ...in after tax dollars and doesn't include joint expenses.

Such an easy decision.

I suppose this depends on income. Is his take home pay 60K a month or more?

I would say regardless of income it's probably a good idea to ditch anyone that is "demanding" that up front.
