Done this 3 times now. Google quotes about love and poetry and say some cute anecdote about your friendship and keep it short because people don't want to hear you ramble.

I used Emily Dickinson in my last one, and gave her credit for the line, "that love is all there is, is all we know of love."

Write a poem.

"Brothers...

Can't live with em, can't live without em...

Brothers."

That's all I got comrade.

I used to like Boozie, but lately he has seemed like quite the little bitch. Maybe I'm confusing him with one of the meuxjeux guys.

Anyways, Boozie you got this. You are planning ahead which puts you ahead of 90% of best man speeches.

As someone else mentioned, thank the familes for putting it on, thank the friends and family who are there to share this special moment, tell a funny story about your bro, then something manly/sentimental about him and you, then something about how great the fiance has been for him, how perfect they are for each other, how you hope to find that same kind of love one day or some other sappy shite. Finish with a strong cheers.

If you are in the right mindset, through preparation, sincerity, and a combo of alcohol/weed/Ritalin/Xanax that suits you, and you are suited up then everyone will love it.

You will have at least 3 of the bridesmaids or guests who will want to swallow your jizz that night.

get drunk and act a fool. blame it on the alcohol.

streak around the reception hall and/or talk about that "nice piece of arse" your brother suckered into marrying him.

tell everyone you know how good she is in bed from experience.

Follow the solid outlines you have seen here, (give thanks, something funny, something sweet, toast).

ABOVE ALL THINGS, keep it short. Unless you are a professional comedian and have an established patter and know how to read the crowd...make the stories the funny part. The biggest mistake is to go on too long. It sets a tone that folks less glib than you will struggle with, and most folks want to move on with the evening. There will be more to speak after you, so give them a little time and think of how badly people need to go the restroom, need a drink, want to get to talking with some broad.

If you are struggling with something funny about the bride and want to loosen it up...just mess her name up....repeatedly...Beth>>>Bess>>>Betty w/e...

Also...try and keep it clean. Her Father is sitting there, be classy.

If I have not mentioned it, keep it short.

You'll do great...kill it.

Jean-Ralphio: Can I throw something on you, see if it feels good?

Okay, this is what I would do. I would start with a joke. Joke. Vince Vaughn quote. Obviously.

Tom: Swingers or Crashers?

Jean-Ralphio: Fred Claus.

Talk about Andy's ex-girlfriends. Quote from "Love, Actually." Hold back your tears. Pause....

Drop the microphone, get out of that b!tch. [Makes explosion sound.]
