This idiot has no control over his dog and leaves it alone for hours on end... my fiancée' and I are living in an apartment at the moment while we wait for our house to be built... (not ideal, I know)

The little kick-dog was barking so badly the other day that my fiancée' taped a note to his door that said:
quote:
"Dear neighbor,
Would you kindly consider doing something with you dog when you're away as it barks continuously while you're gone. Not trying to start anything, but, as you're most likely aware, the walls here are paper thin. Not sure what you can do, but wanted you to be aware your dog is becoming a nuisance."
and the a-hole neighbor taped the same note to our door with the following scribbled on the bottom:
quote:
shoulda bought a house
I'm sorry for the rant, but short of breaking in and killing the dog, I'm at my wit's end...

Surely there MUST be a device or unit or something that I can place near my door (which is across the hall from his door) that will send some kind of sonic wave or something to keep the damn dog from barking... I've seen handheld devices that you can press to send a signal, but I'm looking for a more "passive device" that will only trigger when the fricking dog starts barking...

Sorry for the rant. Just help.

You’re renting.

Step 1. Home Depot

Step 2. Big arse drill.

Step 3. Drill big arse hole in the wall.

Step 4. Feed that mutt hot dog wieners daily.

Step 5. No more barking.

You’re welcome.

soubds like you've got it figured out.

But be sure and leave the note on the corpse, with the continuation, "I'm going to bury you under the foundation".

Slip a small piece of ex-lax under the door every day.

I have the same issue but I bought a house, it’s the neighbors renting the house next door to me, they have 2 German Shepard’s one is laid back he barks but not often, the other one if I walk outside in my back yard the dog goes ape sht and will just keep barking on and on and will not stop. Me and my wife spend a lot of time on our back patio and daily I think about giving it a antifreeze steak..

That's what you get for living together before marriage.

I bet y'all are sleeping together as well.

Sinner...That poor dog is just trying to help you repent.

My brother "had" a similar issue with a neighbors dog. It (pit bull) would slip around the fence and come into their driveway and start barking/growling if they are outside. My brother is babysitting their grandkids while their mother is working so it has become dangerous to be outside. Two days ago the dog was at it and doing more aggressive growling and charging. My SIL filmed it and then called the local police. When the cop saw the video he called animal control. But before they arrived the dog became even more aggressive and started charging the cop. The cop killed it. All it would have taken was the owner of the dog to keep it on his lot, but being he did not his dog is dead.

Last time I lived in an apartment (in school) I had this old bitch living downstairs who chain smoked inside and the smell of the smoke was coming through the floor of my apartment. It smelled like an ashtray. I went to ask her if she could open windows or try to do anything other than what she was doing, and bitch slammed her door in my face before I even got the word “smoke” out.

Bitch paid dearly for that decision. I went and got a big downfiring subwoofer and would leave EDM playing all day when I was gone for class. Bass only and really only at a volume that it disturbed her. Then I went and got a super soaker and some of the deer piss stuff from Bass Pro and sprayed her A/C unit with it in small bursts where it looked like an animal had done it.

There are ways to go full passive aggressive with idiot apartment neighbors.

Feed the dog some ex-lax.

If he's leaving the dog at home alone all day, that's bound to cause a reaction.

There are SO many options starting with don't get a dog. There is also doggy day care now and they're freaking everywhere. There's also dog sitters. So stop being an arse
