I had sinus infection atleast every six weeks before the surgery and have only had two since July. Those 2 occurres while I was living in a crappy arse medical school dorm so I am blaming it on the mold and dust (allergic to both) in that dorm. In the 6 months since I have moved out of the dorm, no problems other than occassional neti pot when the pressure builds up. I would highly recommend making an appoint with an ENT and looking in to it. Insurance covered all my expenses except the $100 surgery co-pay and $25 deductible for pain meds.

My nose isn't as serious, you can see in one nostril that the tip of the nose cartilage is bent, however it doesn't affect that nostral nor my appearance. The other nostral works pretty well but if I get a cold or something air barely passes through it when I blow out.
I guess I could get it fixed but without any medical issues related I suppose I should live with my mild deformity

Speedy recovery to you. Had my nose done about 25 years ago after breaking it a couple of times. The thing I remember most was when they pulled the cotton out the next day and it had expanded from absorbing blood and ooze. Felt like when they pulled that shite out of Arnold's nose it total recall.
And fwiw, you look a bit like a demented clown with the bandages.

Yeah Teddy, you don't sound too bad off now, but depending on your age, it may worsen.
I was having trouble putting the miles in on my road bike or just about any form of cardio. The harder I pushed, the harder it got to breathe, and it was getting worse as I aged (43 in a couple months). My throat was sore often due to mouth breathing while sleeping.
I was kinda dreading it, but as I said earlier, I don't even remember the anesthesiologist coming into the room!
Next thing I knew my wife and the nurse anesthetist were calling my name to wake me up saying it was over!
The next 2 weeks will be rough, but I hope to give a report here in about 4-5 weeks and praise the decision to have the surgical procedure.

Ah frick it, we all had fun back then, didn't we OP. Deviated septum is a small price to pay. Glad you got yours taken care of though, good for you.

Keep the frozen peas on your face and the pain pills popping and be sure to sleep sitting up or at least inclined. You will feel great relief after they take packing out. It feels like bloody Mardi gras beads coming out of nose but feels great after. The cast will be very uncomfortable but again feel wonderful after they finally take it off.

THIS. It felt like they were pulling shite out of my brain when they did that. Thankfully, it only hurts for a little while, but after they do the first side, you almost want to tell them to leave the other side in.
