They fight tort reform on the argument that they are there to champion the little guy. That they are there to serve people.
If you want to serve people, write that old lady’s will for her. Go represent that guy whose crackhead ex is trying to get custody of his children. Help that childless couple adopt a child.
But don’t tell me that suing an insurance company for a car accident is a public service.

When you reckon the next civil jury trial will go forward and how will they logistically pull that off?

We’re already getting scheduling orders in Harris County for August trials. If bars, gyms, restaurants, etc are open by then I don’t see how jury trials are that far off from happening.

Getting people to show up will be a different story.

Yeah, which was the point of the “logistically” component of my question.

Mike Bradner is a lowlife fcking a-hole.
He runs his office like a clown show so I know they aren’t following any protocols. LOL

I’m hoping things on the calendar for November and December still go. Let’s open up, see how bad this second wave will be and go from there.
Logistically, I think that matters on the severity of the second wave. I think masks will become more common, but I don’t know about partitions and stuff. Jury boxes are only so big. Do you space them out in the gallery three to a row
I don’t know, but at some point it becomes a constitutional issue on the criminal side or you’re letting a lot of folks out of jail

Just a good friend who used to work there a few years ago said they are a mess. No business sense or organizational culture. It’s just all about show me the money and give me mine. LOL

Shocking for the guy whose slogan is “In a wreck? Need a check?”

So they should practice in areas they know nothing about? Writing a will and screwing it up can have major implications, one of which is getting sued for medical malpractice.
ETA: yeah I meant legal malpractice.
