So DA George Barnhill had the same video in possession since the day of the Arbery murder

It appears that the cops had the video this whole time & still didn't arrest the men who executed Arbery.

The only inference I can draw from this, and having viewed the horrifying video, is that the person taping was in league with the two men and that he turned over the video thinking it exonerated them. You can hear him cock his gun in the video. This 3rd person, the person who most likely taped the video, is Bryan William and his name is referenced in Barnhill's letter exonerating the two McMichaels.

God bless whoever leaked it.

I would like to know what happened before this. The guy is filming as he’s driving. This couldn’t have been the first time Arbery and these guys made contact. You’re not going to have a shotgun pulled on someone just for the hell of it. Arbery is not going to just be out jogging, see a couple guys with guns, and then instantly try to fight them so what happened prior to?

Welp they need to be investigated too. Need to set an example that this type of corruption won’t be tolerated.

Like I said before, the downstream consequences of this can’t be quantified. Talcum X is salivating right now.

None of that seems particularly important seeing as how the guy is unarmed and there are 2 dudes with guns ambushing him.

Even if the dude did something wrong there is no reason to try to play vigilante police.

If he was rolling with the 2 gun wielders and voluntarily turned this over to the police, he fricked his friends over.

They weren't just guys with guns relaxing down the street. If you're in his position someone jumped out of a truck and has a gun on him.

Well that's grounds for citizens arrest.

I wouldn't have gotten involved but if the case is the guy was breaking into shite, then Citizens Arrest does come into play.

If you’re going to troll at least make it a little less obvious. Sad performance.

Citizen's arrest is a little bit different than citizen's execution on the spot don't you think?

The police also lied to the mother of the victim knowing it was untrue.

except that he was literally just jogging in a neighborhood someone didn't think he belonged in because he was black

this wasn't citizens arrest it was two good ol' boys finally getting to live out their gun fetish dreams

i know you're talking hypotheticals but we need to be honest about it

So you can citizens arrest anyone you think fits the depiction when they're not in the act of committing a crime?

Let’s take race out of the equation. Be colorblind. Even if that dude was jogging down the street with a stolen chainsaw slung over his shoulder, the guy standing in the roadway is never going to legally be allowed to gun him down.

This whole thing is just a bunch of stupid people doing stupid people things and they’re all going to pay a significant price for it.
