I'm thinking about going to NO to the LSU game. Need to get my mind off the floods in Houston. Just want to see if people think I could get through all the way. Worried about getting through East Houston which is still under water on i10.

Where are you at? You will have to detour as there is no way you will just be able to hop on i10 and coast

Only if the airport is open unless you go all the way around through Toledo country.

I'm at 290 and the Beltway. Getting through East Houston on I10 will be tough.

Friday is 2 full days of draining away. According to the projections on drive texas you should be able to do it. Ill be trying to as well. The beaumont area is my concern. Houston should be better

Go north to Jasper and hit 190 and cross the sabin to Derrider... and just work your way to the city from there

59 is in bad shape. getting to jasper could be tough. i10 on friday may be doable. Southwest flights aren't that bad right now but they are booking up...

THe san jacinto river is the one thing that could screw up a trip that way. just depends on if it goes down enough between tonight and friday to get across i10

I saw a picture on Facebook of i10 in Winnie today and i would've thought it was a boat lost at sea other than the street signs.

Why don't you stay and help and I'll go to the game in your place?

I drove to Alexandria from the woodlands and down I-49 to BR yesterday. Usual 4.5 he trip turned into about a 6 hour trip. Wasn't bad at all and no traffic.

This. The interstate is open now between Houston and SA.
