For the same reason why movie theaters are still packed despite having Netflix,
If Netflix ever got release-day movies it would kill theaters.

That will never happen. They can barely get recent movies in their order much less release-day.

Culcha loves loitering at malls and gas stations. I've never understood it.

But if they did...
I'm actually surprised they or someone else hasn't done it yet. A service where you pay a set amount each month and get access to the newest movies. That would put a big dent into the illegal download market, and would send a larger portion of money directly to the production company instead of the theater. I'd much rather do that, watch Iron Man 4 from my comfortable couch, with the ability to pause it and go to the bathroom, no crowds, no annoying kids in front of me, no fatties behind me eating chips like they're about to starve.

How much of the illegal download market is movies currently at the theater? Most people I know who pirate shite still go to the theater for new movies they want to see -- nobody enjoys watching cams.
A streaming service would have to be really expensive to deliver the same revenue as theater sales. It would never happen.

Was it a Netflix original or a major production?
I would like what you said about a service, but I like going to the movies. I just go to the Movie Tavern to get away from the riff-raff.

Old people, African Americans as teens.

100% is still a lot there, Paul. Some people still have rotary phones, dial up internet or no internet at all. And, some people just like leaving the house and physically seeing items.

My kids enjoy the movies so most of the time that we go it is to watch a Disney or Pixar show. If there's a movie that we want to see my wife and I typically wait until it's available on Amazon for rent. We'd rather go for dinner and drinks on date night

Read the title and thought someone bumped a thread from 2005.

Dude, it's 2017. Even Homeless people have smart phones and the internet.
You're arguments are weaker than Bruce Jenner's trap game.

Netflix produces movies, it will happen. They have a few battles to win, but they're doing it.

$50? bullshite. The most I've ever spent for a movie ticket is $12-$15.

He said two people so add a couple drinks, popcorn, and/or candy and you're creeping on 50 bucks.
