It wasn't nearly as bad this year as it was last year. Snow drift in my cul-de-sac last year was 2ft. I had trouble getting out (had to work). VDOT didn't come by to plow until a week later.

quite a few people that live on long private roads have a snow plow they attach to their truck for the 1-2x a year this happens.

ETA: Chili's was open yesterday, so we had that going for us.

You'd be able to leave if you had some of these bad boys.

Can't call a plow truck? If not, relax and enjoy it.

You may want to start jarring your urine now, just in case.

Been basically iced in since Friday night here as well. I think it's safe to drive around now but I don't see the point with nothing pressing I have to do. I've watched a lot of TV and am currently cooking some chili. Might crack a beer and watch the end of this MIA-PIT game. Can't complain.

Plenty of time to learn, do some reading or something. You've just discovered why the highest IQs evolved out of the mountains/long wintered areas.

Sounds awesome. Enjoy the downtime.

If you get bored go outside and have a snowball fight.

Service the wife, watch some football, have a few drinks...

All kidding aside, you have a point.

What you do is ensure you don't have any energy drink type beverages in your vehicle.

We are driving cross country, had an Amp Energy in my front console of my New 16 Silverado.

Had another energy drink in it and either of them seemed to be freezing, assumed because of all the terrible terrible shite they put in them, so I had left it there.

Came out this morning and it had exploded all over my cab. On the ceiling, center console, front dash, seats, speakers, floor, doors, back seats.

It was all still crystallized tho, hadn't melted as it has stayed well below freezing.

Made clean up possible, otherwise I would have had an even worse nightmare. Was able to get it out of my light colored ceiling cloth and shop vac most of the rest.

That was nerve racking though
