Yeah, that's a tough one for me to stomach, and one you'll never forget once you smell it. It could be a dead animal, rotting seafood, human body, pieces/parts of animals butchered, etc.-----it is all so nasty.

All four of us were gagging to the point my wife actually hurled when back in N.O. to clean out my ground floor that got over 4 ft. of water for Katrina.

I had a large fridge/freezer downstairs in the man cave and it had fallen over on its back and filled up with water over the 4 weeks from the flood until cleanup.

My nephew and I put rope around it to tie the doors shut as much as possible and when we straightened it up it started leaking the most putrid liquid known to man. Everybody ran out the house and it was a blessing that the water was on and I was able to hose out the area once the fridge was to the curb. I remember dumping huge amounts of pine oil all over the floors to help with the odor.
