I straight up fall asleep sometimes when I get a hair cut. For some reason it really relaxes me.
My barber says its pretty common.
Sometimes I'll drink a beer though instead. I love going to the barber. $20 before tip, straight razor my neck, and give me a solid IPA for free to sip on.

I went in one time and had a psycho bitch talking to me nonstop about her drama with her fellow coworkers (she was only one there at this time). I get my hair cut pretty short, simple haircut. Doesn't take long. I'm the only one in there and this shite took an hour. She never shut up the whole time. It was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable, but I couldn't piss her off because she had all the power over my hair at that moment.
Maybe ask a question or two to be affable but if I don't go out of my way to be chatty with them I wish they'd just stfu and cut my damn hair so I can gtfo.

I've never actually fallen asleep, because I've put immense thought and effort into staying awake when it happens, but I've had a wobbly head a time or two from being close.
If I'm at all drowsy I try to put off getting my haircut specifically because I start getting heavy eyed in the chair.

I have found one guy. He is turkish and barely speaks English. I tried asking him a few months about the Turkish uprising. Couldn't figure out WTF he was talking about. Never attempted again.
I tell him the number, STFU and tip him $10 on a $18 cut just for shutting up.

I can agree w this. The last three places I went to I've ever up with some seemingly cracked out looking people while every other person cutting hair in there looked way more normal and I couldn't hold a normal conversation with them.

I feel the same way. I actually want to sit there quietly and relax.

Buy razor, shave head.
/thread
But before I started doing that, I usually went to either a barbershop with 4 old arse male barbers who had a language that was 70% vulgar, so I enjoyed talking to them, or I went to Roosters or Sports Clips where it usually was a decent looking chick.

I don't understand why more barbershops don't do this. I'd pay $5 extra for this, plus, I'd actually go. 6 pack of a good IPA is maybe $10 at most, so he's making an extra 20 on every 6 haircuts, PLUS, he's probably bringing in more people.
Place in Katy called Roosters used to give me a beer, but it was Bud Light.

Its usually against the law. Mine can do it legally because some chick that works in there has some kind of beautician license which allows her to serve booze...or something like that.
But they'll give it to me when she's not there, which they've told me is definitely against the law. Ironically, I have seen police in there getting their hair cut a few times and they've still given me a beer.
Because honestly, who gives a frick.

Troy Hebert, unless you're willing to give him a little quid pro quo.

If I go to the barber shop. I will chat them up all day. Just for him is a little different.

it's tough to beat a firm set of tits rubbing against your back and shoulders while you get your hair cut.
