This interview he had with Ali is so good. Sly was playing peacemaker and not afraid to tell Ali when he thought he was wrong.

Sly was the ultimate "cool cat," and did not have a racist bone in his body. His band was integrated. He had songs that dealt with the fact that everyone can be subject to racial dislike ("Every Day People"). If you listen to a Best of Sly and the Family Stone album, you'll go "I didn't know that was their song" to several of the cuts.
I love his interview I posted. Ali was all upset and Sly just seems to love everyone. He seems to be all about peace and love. Ali seems bitter.

Agreed, I clicked the videos... know the music just never knew who it was. Very good stuff, put a big ole smile on my face.

His albums are full of great music a lot of people will recognize and have no idea it was his.
Sad to see him go, but honestly, can't believe he made it this long

We had some "Hot fun in the summertime" this past weekend but Sly was singing about something else in a different time.

Hate to read this, but thanks for posting.
It's good to see that he still has other fans.

Grace Slick recalled an incident where Sly Stone produced a song for the Jefferson Airplane. She stated that Sly was a better player than all the band members and could play several instruments.

I feel like this thread is clickbait.
It is if you're illiterate, or a dumbass, or both.
