We all know the 82 degree thing is bullshite. Lower temps are better for the body and mind.
Look at Africa and then look at Norway.

This screams of systemic racism

I almost respect the pure audacity of our government promoting that every year

Not to mention the feeling when she backs her butt up against you when you do, and gives you a little wiggle.

I can easily feel the difference in temperature when I wake up.

If I sleep with it cold, or too cold, I can operate on less sleep. I assume other people are like this.

If it’s too hot then I will always be tired as hell when I wake up, no matter how much sleep I got.

Is there science behind this?

72°, ceiling fan and 20” box fan on low about 10 feet from the bed. The rest of the setup is as you describe…. Ahhhhhhh

Would you believe there is?

So, the hotter things are, the faster the molecules moves. Colder temperatures slow things down.

Ever hear the principle of "A body at rest stays at rest?"

Well the same thing applies to rest rest. In the cold your body can molecularly slow down more, and you can rest deeper.

It's akin to hibernation. Animals in cold climates go into a deep, long sleep, where the animals in warmer climates sleep more fitfully and for shorter periods.

These are primal holdovers from our prehistoric past.

I’ve played 4 rounds of golf the last 4 days. Sliding into the freshly washed and tucked sheets at the end of the night after a steak dinner has been an absolute treat

Especially after shooting upper nineties in all four rounds.
