There was a show a while back on Showtime about polyamory. One married couple with a young child started dating another married couple that eventually moved in to their house. Fair enough.
Statically, the majority of women who step outside of the marriage don’t do it for sex. Most of the time there is an emotional/companionship need that isn’t being met, and when they find a guy who will meet it, that relationship often turns into a physical affair.
It’s difficult to imagine that this arrangement is all about sex, since the woman is in three “committed” (using the term loosely) relationships, but I’ll concede that these two could be the exception to that norm.

I'd say that definitely tends to be the case more often than not.
Interestingly enough, I do have a few stories from various groups of people I've encountered through the years. From the small sample size I've encountered, apparently, as women get older, or at least the ones that have admitted to me for one reason or another, that they have stepped out on their marriage for "just sex". Now, granted these women were a bit older...(roughly late 40s or so). They admitted that they were just looking for a primal, passionate, sexually charged romp or two. They admitted they lost sexual attraction for their husbands. They said they absolutely still loved them and even still have sex with them, but it was no longer fueled by passion. That craved an all-out animalistic porn type sex.
They said that's what they were looking for and were able to get it. They had no desire to leave their marriage. They just wanted a good fricking that they felt they couldn't acheive from their husbands since they lost a lot of physical attraction for them.
For some weird reason, I believed them. They also claim that in their group of women, it seemed to be a common occurrence. Older women sequester sex and marriage.
