What if it was just a nasal congestion issue or perhaps a collapsed septum?

My first guess was racism.

Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that disproportionately affects the Black community, with a higher prevalence of moderate to severe cases and often underdiagnosis compared to other racial groups.

Untreated sleep apnea can lead to various health issues, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, which are also prevalent conditions within the Black community

You were partially correct according to google.

I didn't read the article, but I was expecting the obvious answer to be that it's because people have become huge, obese, lardasses....

Well, yeah… but why are people so fat? Because of climate change!

No, one of my ex-girlfriends was an MD and told me I definitely had sleep apnea. I assumed she didn’t know what she was talking about because she’s an OBGYN and was like “Oh what do you know, you just catch babies.” She dumped after I got fat though and started dating her tennis instructor.

Do you mean correlation?

I don't think it matters color for sleep apnea and obesity since there are a lot of fat fricks of all colors.

Counterpoint: it’s because you’re all fat fricks and we’re too good at keeping you alive well beyond what you should be

Can’t be because we are finally screening for something that’s been under diagnosed for decades…..that’s too unlikely.
