Perhaps I need to learn more about the intricacies but I don’t understand how a religion can justify stoning homosexuals to death and selling young boys as sex slaves.

would be ok with Trump bombing the hell out of them for the next 3 years and orchestrating a regime change in Afghanistan.

We can’t let them get away with this. Too many innocents in Afghanistan will be abused.

I’m not big on world politics….but didn’t we set up the current regime after we kicked their asses?

That sucks for women and children in Afghanistan but we propped up a modern, civilized, equal rights state for almost 20 years and the second we announced a withdraw they sprinted back into the open arms of barbarism. This is what the Afghan people want. I don’t care if they act this way in some desert but I take issue when they bring it to the civilized world.

Why would the American left be crying about this?

Then I don’t want to hear any more crying about Palestine if suddenly the left is not concerned about anything overseas

No. You don’t remember Biden botching the exit and the taliban taking back control?

One correction here: the Taliban doesn't do the “boy sex slave” thing. That's always been punishable by death, both pre-invasion and post-pullout. Diddling boys was what our Northern Alliance “allies” were into. Often while US troops were ordered by the superior officers to accept that “this is their culture “ and turn a blind eye to boy rape while their mothers begged American soldiers to intervene. The Taliban, for all their ills, never put up with that shite.

The same reason they pretend there's a genocide in Gaza. If they care about inequality overseas exploitation of children, don't they care about an actual, institutionalized instance?

No, they don't because they don't care about children. They care about implementing communism here.

my favorite part is him using the term “safe space” while crying about a thread accidentally posted on the OT

@Chicken

Is there is reason to have PT now days?

What would be the reason to relegate a discussion about modern day slavery to the political board? Is it exclusively a political topic?

When OP started the thread with a tweet calling out the Left multiple times?

That is no question a political thread it wasn’t an objective post to discuss slavery in Afghan

Edit: specifically

We went in there, we tried, some backwards shitholes you just can't change.

The $1 billion is my issue. Why are we giving that place a single penny?
