My post wasnt directed towards you, and when you have to purchase skii clothes for a family of 4 and kids out grow some of their shite every 2 years, it starts to add up.

Here's a tip, don't ask the OT for advice on fashion or brands of clothes.

Skii clothes is not something you want to cut corners on. You're gonna get what you pay for.

Hey if it makes you feel better about yourself.

There are certain expemsive things I buy because I just so happen to like the style or material from which it's made, but clothes and accessories can be status symbols hence why there are so many designer knockoffs.

And I was just joking with you.

eh not really

all you need is a waterproof outer layer, and it doesn't even need to be very good material either

If you do any fall/winter outdoors stuff other than skiing, you shouldn't need that much stuff. I rarely ski, but I'm certain I could outfit about 3 grown men from winter hiking and camping gear in my closet.

lol.

i think it's more like people who ski only once a year would've never heard of it so it isn't effective to impress the other people who ski once a year.

This. Let's be real the guy isn't gonna be doing any backcountry stuff. Bottom of the line Columbia will work just as well for him as anything.
