I have had a pair of the slip ons. They were comfortable but too loose on my feet. I would wear them around the house but not for lots of walking.

I had neck fusion in 2023. Bought some to wear to and from the surgery. Very glad that I did!

With the exception of my three dress shoe pairs which are still the original dress laces and two pairs of clarks boots, I have switched out all my laces for elastic laces. I originally got them so my 11-yo with high functioning autism (terrible tactile coordination) didn’t get made fun of by classmates for having velcro. Then I just got jealous. I have them on all my athletic shoes, J&M leather sneakers, and two pairs of Cole Haan knit zeroes.

You still have to put your socks on. If you wear socks.

I had a pair and over time they start to stink - not because I have dirty stinky arse feet but the material they use in the soles of the shoe.

I refuse to own a pair of skechers until I am over 50 years of age.

We need to bring Velcro back. It's superior to laces in every way

Is it that there is a disproportionate amount of folks in their 70s, 80s and older with mobility issues ?

Yes

It’s called getting old.

16mm heel drop and a stack height of 42mm. Not a good combination especially for older folks. Absolutely horrible for your feet.

I wear them while feeding ducks from a bench by the pond, buying poli-grip, and when hitting the 4:30 dinner super saver at Golden Corral.

I put these on every pair of shoes that I buy

This is the way to go. Find the athletic/outdoor shoe that is best for you and your activity, and slap a pair of elastic laces on them.

Because most people slip on their shoes, and most shoes heels bend and wear out quickly.

One of my kids has 3 pairs. He likes them.

I used to think they were ghey as f*ck til I had my hip replaced. Couldn't bend over far enough to tie my shoes.

Listen to me tell you that you sir, are an idiot.

I'm 49 years old, in great shape, can easily bend over to tie my shoes if necessary, and I just recently bought a pair of these. Game changer!

I'm not a lazy person, but it sure is nice being able to just slip them on and off so easily.

It's like saying that you wouldn't use a TV remote control because you are capable of getting up and walking to the TV to change the channel, but why do it? It's called convenience, not laziness.

Dad got west nile over 20 years ago which triggered transverse myelitis and multiple sclerosis. He's in a wheelchair - bought him a couple of pairs of those from the Slidell strip mall store and he's absolutely loved em.
