Since when did surf fishing become Taboo?

Woke up this early this morning at my beach house in watercolor to get a good spot up front and set up my 4 surf fishing lines.. Ive had some pretty good luck with a couple good Mullet and Snook but since more people have come out it’s gotten a bit annoying. A couple of different ladies have confronted me about my lines being hazardous to the kids abd potentially bringing sharks in.. i told her that the beach is first come first serve and if she had a problem she could set up shop clear of my lines. I don’t understand what the problem is I’ve been coming to the beach my entire life and surf fishing. The Karen’s need to mind their business. Has surf fishing always been frowned upon??

My beach house is bigger and on a better part of the beach than yours

If this is a crowded beach, then yes.

Isn't Watercolor a private beach?

There's your problem: Watercolor is wayy too high-end for your trashy surf fishing. Go to the pier like any other moron.

I watched a 60-70 year old lady wade out and fish the groin on our beach for about an hour last week. Tossing artificials no less. What a boss. I wish a Karen would have said anything to her.

IDK why anyone would want to fish on a crowded beach. And yes some people think you are baiting in sharks but that is probably not the case...sharks are already out there.

seems like most people these days either hate children or think the entire planet should revolve around all of their little wants and desires.

Somewhat related, but doesn't the state own everything past the high tide line?

How many threads are you going to start about your pretend beach house?

Nothing wrong with surf fishing if you do it respectfully. 4 rods you're taking up a decent stretch of beach. In the early mornings or late evening that is fine, once kids are out there then cut it down to 1 or 2 lines and keep them directly in front of your setup.

It drives me insane when someone sets a rod in front of their chairs but casts at a 45 degree angle crossing over everyone's shite.

Had a guy next to us kayak out shark baits directly across my lines, my kids playing. That's the bull shite.

You’re supposed to fish just west of Stinky’s right before 30A turns north. Surf fishing in watercolor is trashy AF.

It abuts the state park there. Is he trying to fish in front of their hotel and pool setup, where they have their rented beach chairs, or is he down the way in the state park area.

If it's the latter, he should tell them to frick off. If he's in front of all the rental folks, just move down into the park area and then tell anyone saying anything to frick off who wants to hassle you.

That’s why we don’t have them fancy beaches and beach houses on our Louisiana coast baw. The water is for fishing and fishing only.
