Had a HS girlfriend breakup with me because she wanted to “get closer to Jesus”. I was afraid she meant some Mexican guy named Jésus, but no, she just thought I would interfere with her spiritual growth.

Had that happen to me too. Dated a girl a few months in 2016, and while I really did like her too, she was OBSESSED with Grey's Anatomy. So obsessed that it was the only damn show she would ever be interested in watching, and about half of the conversation pieces she'd bring up were stupid quotes/references from the show. Like I can't even legitimately respond to any of that. I felt shallow at first dumping her, but I easily got over it.

My senior year I had decided to breakup with my gf of 3 yrs because I thought I could do better. I was a cool guy, great job at All American burger and life was great. Day before I had set to break up, got fired for yelling at a customer and changed my mind. She broke up with me the next day at a pep rally.
