re: Silky was going to be paid $9800 for 40 hours of "work"!

She needs to be removed.
First, she hires a CFO who had a resume with kinds of holes in it. In my opinion, he was someone she wanted, so she probably told him "just make your resume look good enough so I can justify the hire". Of course that is just my opinion.
Has she ever said anything that is consistent with her actions? No.
Then you have a Chief of Police who is more than qualified to do his job. Handled everything as good as possible last summer when everything was going on and one of the first things she wanted to do was find a way to remove him. There was no legal way to do so, so she pretty much forced him to retire, by being impossible to work with.
Then, someone who is part of her "team" says at a meeting that "they had their justice when gavin long came to Baton Rouge".
That same person is hired as a "contractor" by the mayor, using money that was suppose to go to the LSU police department. Of the $125k that was suppose to go to LSU's police department, only $9800 is accounted for, which was for paying the "contractor" who thought justice was served when police was ambushed by a coward.
In other words, she had people like Silky Slim and probably Gravy, get out and work the people to get them to the polls. We are talking about people who would not normally vote unless there was some incentive. And for getting those votes that helped push her the top.. She is thanking them with taxpayer dollars.

I wouldn't be surprised if Deldago and the media's records requests show Gravy being paid to do some menial, b.s. task.

I just wish someone would pull a Matthew McConaughey from A Time to Kill on Gravy and ask him to close his eyes, and then list off all of the shitty things this mayor has done as a hypothetical and dramatically end it with "now imagine the mayor is black."

If I had to bet on it, I would definitely bet he received money from her in some form or fashion. You gotta have money to eat.. And in his case... A lot.
But seriously, I know this is how it works in some areas. Not sure if it does in Baton Rouge, since it would be easier for the media to investigate and what not.
But these people who are on a candidate's "team", they are given a stack of $10s and they go out and round up all the drunks, anyone looking for any amount of money to use towards whatever vice they have.. Gambling, drugs, etc.. And they drive 4 or 5 at a time, especially during the week of early voting.
I guess giving someone cash, you can't really prove that you are paying them to go vote. I can give someone $10, say I owed it to them and then go take them to go vote.
There are also people who will only go vote when there is something they are passionate about, going on.. So.. She has Gravy and I am sure others, who goes around preaching this bullshite about how all the police want to do is go into black neighborhoods and kill black people, but if she is elected mayor she will "fight" to improve the police department.
Nothing sells better than fear and any politician who can exploit it, in order to get elected. But SWB has done a sloppy job "doing the dirt" and I hope they find enough where she will have no choice but to step down.

I can't SAY how many women I've sat with who can only pray for the death of an abuser, the torture of the one who has tortured them. And we cry and we scream and we may even break something. And we say it all out loud and then we move on to the next step. Don't act like this is not a normal, human response to trauma and struggle.
Y'all think justice for a child molester is instant death. Y'all cry out, "Do the same to them only ten times worse." How supportive are YOU of prison reform or removal of the death penalty? What about ending all wars? These comment threads are daily filled with justifications of murders, or of calls to justifiably murder. Day after day I see posts for white conservative men to form a MILITIA. Armed white men have shown UP to "be prepared to do what they need to do" while the Panthers chose to leave their guns at home, but no one is outraged about that. ?????
I don't want to hear your fake outrage over Silky's comments. Period. Especially if you're not outraged over the utter disrespect and callousness shown at the meeting AND FOR THE ENTIRE PAST YEAR that created an environment where that was how people were feeling (or worse if you didn't even know that those types of things were SHOWN at the meeting towards the people). Spare me your sermon notes on what is a proper response. If God can flood the entire earth and strike down entire cities with fire from heaven for their evil and you praise Him for it, don't clutch your pearls at this.
You think YOU can reach those kids better than Silky Slim can? You don't even go to their BLOCK, let alone know how to get on their level.

The Silky's, Gary Chambers, and SWB's of the world have no intention of preaching unity. They want a complete reversal. They want whites to experience what blacks did for the last 150 years. They want "an eye for an eye".
Not making a blanket statement by saying all blacks. But the ones who have drank the punch think this way. Of course they will scoff at that notion and say it's ridiculous, but common sense says otherwise through their words and their actions.
The dangerous thing is that this percentage of blacks who are way out of touch is growing. And with the election of a piece of shite like SWB, the inmates are finally running the asylum. This bitch needs to be ousted - NOW. The pieces of shite on city council need to be ousted - NOW. Gary Chambers and Silky need to be told they're uninvited to any meeting or discussion and let them simply stick to Facebook rants only.
