Goodbye my old friend Sid from Jefferson. What a true New Awlins character. It was an honor to have you riding co-pilot on the magic carpet with me. My favorite memory was walking into Morten Anderson’s restaurant in Lakeside and hearing you play “When the Saints Go Marching In” on the trumpet. We had some good times with Buddy D! Rest In Peace my friend, Bubba.

Damn. I liked his posts usually, and always wondered if I knew him in real life because of some of the stories he told. I don’t know anyone who passed away on the 4th so I guess now I know.
