Running water is impossible on Mars.
At least on the surface.
My money is Curiosity has found evidence with its chemical analyzers that represents proof of past life on Mars rather than saying it was possible.

Will be annoying if true though. You don't need to tempt and hint something as minor as that.

That would be amazing if so.
I thought the bigger problem to liquid water wasn't just how cold it is, but the super low pressure there. It would almost immediately boil away. Its a one two punch that I thought limited water to either be frozen or gas.
