This- word on the street is that they want to change the menu and be lunch/dinner. I heard plate lunches, but I can’t imagine sustaining that little restaurant on chicken and dumplings and meatloaf.

I knew they'd screw it up.

Bump- just heard that the menu overall will not change, but get an update/refresher, but they do want to be open for lunch and develop a lunch menu. The owners were kind of shitty to the previous manager, but it sounds like the new manager wants to keep a lot of the old, but do some things to attract more business.

Place really kinda started going downhill last three or four years.

You've been over 21 for like 2 years.

The cub has been the same for at least 2 decades.

The cub is still open. This is about the restaurant inside it.

yet charged the same prices....

They just posted a video on their Facebook Page confirming that the menu will stay mostly the same, but expand to offer bar food- burgers, poboys, wings, pizza, etc. I guess we’ll see next week.

Lot of memories there.

Jake serving us drinks out back like it was a sonic, when we were in high school.

Great burritos for a while.

Sleepy Perry took over and brought in steaks from Colorado. Anthony supposedly started the au gratin potatoes.

My Dad claimed he used to bet in the bookie joint upstairs, but I never saw an upstairs.

Man do I have some good memories there from around 2003-2005. Even with Gary running the place and being an a-hole.

I'm not familiar. I don't have a lot of reason to hang out in shite holes like Shreveport. Fill me in since you obviously have experience

2 years, 4 years, whatever. The point is you aren't old enough to know whether the cub today is different from say 10 years ago.

Well it was almost always packed when I turned 21 and now it’s hardly packed at all.

does not compute. Place opened when you were 34.
