I remember getting my clock cleaned playing Northwood High School in Shreveport. A complete blindside hit. More sod was crammed into my helmet than on the field. I remember their coach, Jerry Burton even came and checked on me .

I don't remember a whole lot schools beating us in Football. Coach Hedges was at one time the winningest High Scool Football Coach in Louisiana.

Carlos Pennywell fitted me for my cleats when I was in 5th grade. He told me he wore two pairs of socks to help support his ankles so I wore two pairs of socks. I was probably the only offensive guard and linebacker wearing two pairs of socks in 5 the grade.

I so wanted to stay and see Festus. But I was a kid, and my parents were more than ready to leave.

Festus was at the State Fair rodeo once in the early 80s, and I shook hands with him as he rode around the arena greeting folks. That was my second time to see him. He was also at the Colfax Pecan Festival in the 70s.

I was there as well! He rode a mule or a donkey, i forget around the perimeter waving at folks. You must be old like me! That had to be 50 years ago!

Back in the early to mid 90s we always cautioned about being Shreved. Aka.. being blindsided and jumped by the gator trash. They ran in packs

Original owner retired and sold it to Tim Huck and Grayson Bailey. New Notini’s ownership saves a Bossier landmark

Notini’s ‘Pizza King’

I actually had to block Michael Brooks in a playoff game against Ruston. It did not end well.

Tank at Ford Park

There was an opening in the bottom of that tank. We had a field trip there once and hid in that tank for hours playing with the controls and pretending to be GIJoe. Think we got detention for that when the teachers couldn’t find us. Kids today just won’t get the same experiences we all had unfortunately
