That depends on if youre squatting heavy or not. I always squat with a belt. People assume that its meant to help your back stay straight or protect your back somehow but that has never been the intention. Its actually protects your back as a byproduct of bracing your ab wall against it. It you squat properly, you should be bracing your core before you begin your descent. Using the belt to brace agaisnt allows you to stay tight when you get out of the hole (if you squat deep enough, the way you should be). It doesnt weaken your core or any of that bullshite that some will tell you. You put 405 on your back and squat down arse to grass, I promise you your core is plenty strong enough.

Nah. The issue is in my left elbow.

I may as well beat my dick with a hammer if I tried going left handed.

If you're squating like a reasonable person, no.

Not sure what that even means? Don't squat heavy? I bet you would freak the frick out if you saw a powerlifter get in a squat suit, which surely is unreasonable to most in this thread.

Meaning you slowly work your way up and allow your lower back time to grow into the weight.

Damn dude.
That's definitely a good example of asymmetry!
