You go ahead and donate to them, cause I'm not.

What about donate to our own country too? Florida looks like they will be getting smashed if the projections keep trending the way they are

I'll just give directly to Hillary Milhous Clinton so she doesn't have to divert it to her friends later.

The last time a natural disaster hit in Haiti Sprint sent me a bill for over $2k saying I donated that money to the red cross via text.
things look bad though, I'll def. give a few bucks to red cross via their website

Not to be a dick but what does all those donations do for Haiti. Seems like they receive it and their corrupt leaders keep it all and dont give it back to the community and it still remains a shite hole

Will it get there though?
If the earthquake is our guide, mostly not.

Haiti and Jamaica are total shitholes. You could donate a trillion dollars to them and it'd still be a shithole. Money has nothing to do with the problems there.
Haiti is a lot worse than Jamaica. A lot worse. By far the poorest and most hopeless place in the Western Hemisphere.

Father Glenn Meaux from Abbeville has a mission there. They've helped o build homes, provided small business loans for women (that have a great payback record), built schools, built water wells ...
If anything I'll be donating to his mission.

If you're compelled to donate to the Caribbean, at least give to a Bahamas charity so your money will go somewhere you'd want to visit or maybe retire to.

The people of Haiti are some of the best people in the world.

I was in Haiti after the earthquake. Those people will never get a dime from me.

I was one of the first people to step into Port Au Prince after the earthquake. It's bad. Real bad.
Always will be.
Always will be.

How do you sign up for something like that?

I was there in a military capacity. I rode in on an LCU to search for survivors and provide aid.
