The wooly mammoth idea got me thinking, could we resurrect celebrities who died in their prime?

James Dean
Jimi Hendrix
Kurt Cobain?

Edit: Maybe even make them better? (Hybridize Jimi Hendrix with Brandon Lee?)

Richard Simmons and Nolan Ryan would be next on the list.

They were more than their genetics. People are a collection of their experiences.

Would it really be them, though?

Sure, a Jimi clone would look like Jimi, but part of what made him Jimi was the life experiences that got him to where he was and came out when he played music.

ETA: transcend kinda beat me to it.

But we know a lot about their lives from documents. It wouldn’t be too hard to take Jimi Hendrix-Clone Test Subject 0001 and expose it to many of the same life experiences the first Jimi experienced.

I'd rather kill off live celebrities so we don't have to hear all their bullshite

Reading about D-Day and storming the beaches are two very different levels of exposure and experience.

What about dead female celebrities? Nobody really cares about their experiences if they had nice teats.
