You are pathetic and have ZERO clue what REAL LIFE is ABOUT...Why do I have the feeling you were fed A silver spoon?????

My father is 86,not wealthy but is fairly comfortable, still owns a business here in town and goes to work every day. He does have a partner and if Dad feels like taking off early he can or even just don't go in at all.

He still have very good health and takes his motorhome anywhere he has the desire to go.

Should he be working? I'm not qualified to tell him to sit home, dry up, and die. Older people need to stay moving to stay alive.

I didn't say you needed to make money for younger people, I said you need to make money for better people.

It's not the young you need to worry about, it's the wealthy. Without them you're nothing. Keep them happy, otherwise the economy doesn't work.

I remember when I blamed my job problems on older people not retiring. I understand.

Show up 5 minutes early, stay 5 minutes late... every day.

View challenges as opportunities, take them on with a positive attitude.

This is simple generic advice, which is why it is so often dismissed. And thus, why those qualities are hard to find.

Ask any upper level manager why it is so hard to find good people, and the two above factors will be at the top.


It doesn't matter if you are a burger flipper or a code monkey, or a salesman or a house painter. Follow those two rules above and you won't give two fricks how long other people work.
