Should I even have elem basketball practice tonight?

As it is, we had to all wear masks on the bench while sitting six feet apart in individual chairs.
I feel like trying school sports is like a drowning kitten. Just shoot it and put it out if it’s misery already.

It's not the kids fault.. And it's damned sure not fair to them some Chinese politicians decided to create a virus. The kids are going to be having enough crap to deal when they grow up with in this screwed up world thanks to wierd arse liberal bullshite...
The kids still need the practice, leadership, adult interaction and resemblance to normality.
So man up and do it for the kids, or I will put on some rap music and sell them crack.

They did this same shite for my daughter's allstar volleyball tournament. The kids aren't required to wear masks on the court - where they're all up in each other's faces, hugging and high fiving after a good play, yelling at each other, bumping into each other, sweating on each other..
But when they get to the bench, they have to put on the mask and sit 6 feet from each other.
Like just about every other covid mandate we have to deal with, it makes zero fricking sense. Why are they putting people through this nonsense?
eta: but to answer your questions, yes continue to coach these kids. They're having a hard enough time dealing with this bullshite without having their sports taken away from them too.
