Indians games are a blast. Don't know about browns or cavs, but Indians fans are great at the park...fun in bars too. They watch the games.

Yes! Like someone mentioned earlier, it's got a lot of fun, blue collar people. If you love sports, it's a very fun city. I hope I'm there when they finally get a ring in something.
One of the best times in my life was going downtown that month in 07 when the Cavs made that finals run. The Indians had a good run that year as well, shite so did the Browns lol. And the injuns are primed to have another good season this year.

You could have a very fun and interesting year.
Alrighty Mr. Cocks, I'll start a thread if I get the offer. At that point, you can use your beautiful words to convince my girlfriend to move with me.
I sure am tired of people asking me if I found a job. I am on the edge of responding with this:

Everything I read about Cleveland raves about the restaurant scene. A lot of great farm to table places where the people take food seriously. Plus, they have an Iron Chef !!

Yeah Glass, just since we left there's been hundreds of restaurants emerge that I can't wait to experience. There's a real nice mix of cultures there (well like in any city) but something about Cleveland's little hole in the wall places I've always found real charming. I know I might get strung up for this, but at times, it had a kind of New Orleans feel to it.

if she likes art and wine, there's a pretty cool scene there for that. If she's into shopping, she'll love Crocker park in the spring and summer, especially summer though where you can walk to shops all day and not die of a heat stroke. And if she ain't with it, I'll just say I've always found the women of that city quite attractive lol

Old city, port city.. different immigrant groups, but I could see that. Cleveland would rank ahead of Indy in my book.

You're the man.

But yeah man, a young man with a decent job could have a nice experience there. It would be good to move there around April or May if you do land that job. Cleveland summers are pretty fun IMHO, and by the time fall/winter rolls around, you'll pretty much be tapped into the environment and it (the weather) won't seem quite as miserable. Good luck either way

Go for where the jobs are at. I used to be dead set on living and working in New Orleans, but I couldn't find the right gig. So, I went to a good city that I enjoy and now I'll shite all over Nola for not wanting my hardworking arse.
FTR, I couldn't do anything north of St Louis. I HATE cold weather.

Glass, Rebs and I do apple Martinis and taco Tuesdays, whenever I'm in Memphis. We squashed that little beef.

Well that is some good news.

I would take Indy over Cleveland.

Neither are bad, neither are great.
Lots of interesting places in the US, and most are (at least) better than Baton Rouge.
shite - being less than a day's drive from NYC (7 hours) or Chicago (5 hours) is enough to get me to consider a place like Cleveland.

Cleveland is more fun and has infinitely more character. Stay out of the rough parts and you'll be fine.
The only good positives of Indy vis a vis Cleveland are that it has slightly milder winters and it's pretty close to Chicago

Cleveland is nowhere near a half hour from the Pro Football HOF but everything else you said is spot on.
