I know of a very wealthy house that was burglarized, and they didn't feel the need to put bars on their windows.
...and you think more homes shouldn’t have burglar bars?
Because homes without them get broken?

New cars auto-lock themselves in all areas, and all people tend to lock their cars. Not all have burglar bars

Take the bars off. Change the culture of the neighborhood. Maybe convince them crime is bad.
But, it’s sad bars are required on windows to live peacefully.

Someone should lock you in a room with burglar bars and put food and water a couple of feet outside of the bars so you can see it but not reach it.
I’d watch you die while roasting marshmallows.

Why are they in poor areas, poor people don't have anything to steal comparatively. The wealthiest would have more to protect, but they don't feel the need to burglar bar their residences. Obviously the wealthy aren't as racist as the people that prejudge and put/keep bars up.

Yes, after 3 years in California, I've now come to the realization that people aren't bad, it's stimuli in the environment that makes people bad. Little Billy would have been a surgeon, but seeing bars everyday made him sell drugs.

I can only assume this is bad joke.
But yea, if you live around criminal elements, burglar bars are a good idea.

You should move to Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky in particular. Up here the skin of the great majority of our burglars doesn’t have nearly the melanin content that it seems to have in Louisiana.

The fire marshal should cite and fine each home that has them. Like walking into a store and the people are behind bullet proof glass. Rip that down too. Stores near CCLA don't have them, obviously the stores that do are pre-judging that they are unsafe because of the higher % of color.
you are a moron

There have been quick release burglar bars for decades. They are not a fire hazard.
the outside can be opened with a key, the inside must be operable with just hand turned bolt -- the iron mesh is used to prevent a bad guy from just breaking the window & opening the bar from outside

I agree.
Burglar Bars are racist and exclusionary because they exclude burglars, they traumatize burglars, they stigmatize burglars and they insinuate that most burglars are African-American.
So, yes, in Leftist USA, I could see them being banned.

Only true if properly maintained. Many are not.
