Should being an original British Colony cost Georgia any “Southern points?”

GA is one of the first states I think of when people bring up “the south.” But the whole colonist thing is like, so not extreme. Thoughts?

We were primarily a penal colony so the trashiness of that should answer your question.

Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia are the Old South. The Original South.

The colony of Georgia originally ran to the Mississippi. We just decided to divide it bun 3 and give away the parts we didn't like

It was a prison colony. The British founded Australia when they lost the ability to dump their riff raff there.

The British are what make the South distinct. Southerners are descendants of royalist cavaliers, people who lived near the Scotland/north England border, and Ulster Scots
