Damn, I must have been a few blocks away earlier in the evening. Ate at Max's Wine Dive last night. We walked away from Sixth for our boozing and I was home at 1AM so I didn't see any of this.

Why don't you update the title and OP to reflect what actually went on and that it is all over? People are checking TD right now thinking there is an active shooter in Austin this morning

Driving back to Katy a month or so ago we left on 290. Which (correct me) begins as Cesar Chavez? Anyway we drove out and noticed the gentrification. Little young families walking out to vacant lots with food trucks all over. New home next to boarded up crack house. It is surreal. I told my wife, "you know they probably had crime scene tape surrounding each of these empty lots at some point 2 years ago.
