If the flowers I saw on the sidewalk are in an accurate spot, she was killed just before the school.

Doubt this has anything to do with Valley Park.

Or Waffle House

No telling. Her listed address wasn't anywhere near there. I seriously doubt it was random though.

I wish the traffic cameras right down the street at Corporate/College would make it self useful for once in this case

We need shot spotters way more than red light cameras. Nobody pays those anyway

Sounds like one of the safest parts of Baton Rouge is the Gardere area now.

I'm not sure if it was directly related but that Valley Park neighborhood right there was ghetto in the 90s

Fairway view and Bienville towers have turned to shite. College has gone to the bums. Valley is a huge shithole.

I don’t know where the blame lies or how it’s gotten so badly unchecked for so long. Everything around the area has blown up while this one pocket remains. I wish there was an easy answer because it is too close to home. Like 1/2 mile as the crow flies.

Once the police substation moved there about a decade ago, murder rate dropped 85%. I think only 1 murder so far this year over there, but could be mistaken.

I could say the same about Blvd de Province or that ghetto on O'Neal and S Harrells Ferry. Maybe not 1/2 mile but 1.5 miles probably

Bawell?

Bardwell Street is just past Corporate Boulevard on the left, across from Bienville Towers. It actually runs in to Bawell.
