That kid is trash. Parents should feel ashamed, but i doubt they do. If their 19 year old kid goes around looking like that, I doubt they give a frick about the young man.

Think the news said his mom passed last year

Like that shirt. Guess the past years of SJW/liberal shite paid off to the younger generation.

Access to guns is a big part of the problem and that needs to change.
Access to guns has little to do with the problem. As it has already been pointed out many times in this thread, in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and into the 1980s, it was common for students to have firearms in their vehicles at school, I did at times, yet school shootings were rare, and when they did happen it was the result of a grudge between two individuals, not someone trying to kill as many random people as possible.

People can't walk and chew gum at the same time these days but you want to arm them all?.
What could go wrong

You could easily do it in a place like a school with a couple of pistols and a handful of magazines.
This is why I don't understand the "ban the AR" argument. What this kid did could have easily been done with two Glock 17's and a few mags. In fact, it might be even easier due to how concealable pistols are.

This is devastating. I teach. I cannot fathom what that school is going through.
Me too. I graduated high school and can’t comprehend the mourning going on now.

But there’s a problem when kids say, ‘this is the first guy that comes to mind when you say school shooting’, and then it happens. It means someone in his life dropped the ball several times.
I've mentioned this before as well. A lot of mental illness just are part of life even early on, but someone has to drop the ball many many times to allow it to spiral to this point. Even if they were bat shite crazy or just abnormal a lot of parents aren't tryin to get the help the kids need. They ignore it and let it continue, then stuff like this happens.
I mean its obviously not every parents fault their kids does something crazy but I think they play an important role in all this in many cases.

Balogna. You're not killing 17 people with a bolt action rifle before you're apprehended. Charles Whitman was an excellent marksman shooting from a damn tower and killed 11, and this was at a time when no one would even consider a mass shooter.
Not correct, Whitman hit 49 people, 18 died, 31 survived their injuries.

That’s not the guy. It’s a red haired, almost Adam Lanza clone kid with a ton of alt-right stuff on his social media.

A few pages back there’s a picture of a kid with a communist shirt holding up his right fist as if he’s the kid who did it. From what I’m seeing it’s a red haired Adam Lanza clone who seemingly has a lot of alt-right type stuff on social media type

Way to minimize these attacks. Obviously a school is a Perfect Location for a planned attack. Lots of people packed into a small area where guns are illegal to carry. School administration should identify and train 15 faculty members who they feel can handle a weapon and handle a weapon in a stressful situation. Nobody would know they carry. Only the 15 faculty, the APs and the principal. The only time you would know they are armed is when you would need them to be armed. Attacks would still happen but they would be greatly reduced. I’m not advocating arming any swinging dick. Ideally former law enforcement, military, hunters etc that may be on your faculty

You're out of your mind if you think teachers can receive enough part time training to perform swat like procedures. That's even going on the assumption a teacher is capable of shooting a student.
shite, we have police and military who train like crazy unable to do that.

I am all for the second ammendment
But don't you think its a bad idea to have a school loaded with weapons, even it is hidden/locked.
You want teachers to learn how to handle a gun when a lot of police officers and people in the army don't even know how
