So the picture of this kid with guns...was he hunting?
Not everybody who hunts comes across as someone who makes his peers feel uneasy. One of my best friends growing up would hunt with his father.
I don’t know of many loners, bullies, cutters, etc who are innocent animal hunters.

I’m not saying it should be illegal to pose with guns. But why can’t you flag people that do, check their post history, and begin to dig a little bit?
Like saying you posted with a beer so you should be investigated for drunk driving.

So because I have pictures of me with guns and animals I hunt I should be monitored?
I don't really get the posing with a gun and a dead duck thing on Facebook. You'd be arrested for brining said weapon to a public forum. The best thing we can do is pay attention to social media accounts. The shooter posted several shots of him in a mask, holding guns and knives.

If you haven’t committed a crime, then what the hell are you worried about?
shite, the government is monitoring your arse in some way anyhow.

Yeah, it’s not like that at all.

You want to be investigated for the hell of it?
What if you are with all white people in your pics? You must be KKK

You're right...One instance is not enough to warrant scruntiny.
But the analysis of metadata could very well flag an individual with multiple tell tale signs of a violent outburst.
Technology will not prevent 100% of the shootings but it can certainly flag those that need help and perhaps save some lives.
This kid had all of the classic signs of a ticking timebomb and like most millenials the evidence is in his online behavior.

Your analogies suck, but in this leftist world, white people are pretty much lumped into this category lol

1. I made one analogy
2. It’s exactly the same. Investigating someone from a picture history that shows no crime being committed

And for the record, I’m thinking minors need to be monitored. That wouldn’t necessarily solve this crime.
But there’s a problem when kids say, ‘this is the first guy that comes to mind when you say school shooting’, and then it happens. It means someone in his life dropped the ball several times.

And the same warning signs are exhibited in both cases? I don’t think so.
If your kid had a social media account and was posting shite like this without your knowledge, would you want someone to let you know?

This shite makes me wonder how many crazy people are out there. Freaks me out a little

Until we arm every man, woman, and child these mass shootings will keep happening. Prayers sent. Lock and load.

I don't trust most people to manage a 4-way intersection correctly, and you want to arm them all?

Ahhh, here’s where what you said falls apart. You said “people who pose with guns”, not “people with mental issues who pose with guns”

Yes, what we need is more guns! This is the answer. I’m glad somebody finally said it.

I own and love guns, however, I just don’t see the need to ever post a picture on social media holding a firearm
The only time it sort of makes sense is when pictures are taken after harvesting an animal.. otherwise, you come across as a douchebag or a psychopath

This is devastating. I teach. I cannot fathom what that school is going through.
