THERE NEVER WAS AN ACTIVE SHOOTER.

There had to be for at least a couple of seconds or nobody would have been shot.

No worries. Bess Casserleigh and Earl gonna get this story straight!

The first time I remember seeing Earl, he was doing a story on construction traffic jams on Collge and he ended up interviewing people leaving Chik-fil-A

Better safe than sorry. They did a good job. If it would have been a mass shooter situation and they didn’t respond the way they did.....

Parkland was negligent and we saw what happened there....

Can anybody explain what the distinction is between an active shooter and someone who shot someone? Was he shooting inactively?

Still plenty of chances for you to get shot at the Oneal location.

The media - with the exception of WBRZ apparently - defines an active shooting situation as one where four or more people are shot.

Watching WBRZ. ATF and FBI just got on scene.

According to witness, white guy in fatigues and green shirt, pulled out a backpack and started shooting (4 shots), one guy left and went to the hospital.

She said she didn’t know if it was a rifle or a pistol, just that it was black...

I believe somebody above said it was called in as an active shooter and EBRSS said so as well.

I don't see the uproar over WBRZ reporting it as that. Rather be safe than sorry

I assume tennis shoes, some mesh workout shorts... active shooter continues to shoot. Someone who shot someone stops after shooting that specific person.

WBRZ had a more traditional news director for about 10-15 years. He retired and they hired one of these new age guys who pushes this crap.

so many things I'd like to say about my time as an employee at WBRZ that I will no post here as it is neither the time nor the place nor really professional for me to do

that said... I believe the guy who essentially forced me out of there (and essentially the news business in general b/c I was just over it and didn't want to do that anymore... I am now in a job and career that I love) is now 1 of the top-top guys in the station... if I lived in BR still there's no way I'd ever watch WBRZ knowing that particular guy was there running the newscasts
