This is a weird situation IMO
The amount of coverage and the way police are viewing it as a very targeted shooting (possibly politically/whatever motivated) makes me think there is something like that they're not releasing yet.
Even one cop getting shot comes close to national news these days, but this is a lot of coverage and concern, even in this environment.

Whatever this NBC affiliate is seems to be saying that the multiple victims reports seem unlikely

Because LEO/first responders were being intentionally targeted and this is the 2nd time Dallas had a sniper shooting at their first responders.

you ever notice how the people on the news will tell the reporter that the police single out their neighborhoods and as their talking you see bars all over their windows.
