All of Newman's were badasses. Crazy times with Jock,
I never met Jock but remember when he got stabbed right after forced bussing started.
I knew Todd.

No but knew a few. Tommy Calandro. I knew Chris Weaver and he was a maniac. I went to his first wedding to, no shite, Bambi that he met a nickel beer night at whatever that joint was next to the Skaggs-Albertsons. He got hammered and got into a huge fistfight with about 5 people including his groomsman that told him he banged Bambi the night before.
He got divorced and she got the trailer. I heard he died years ago.
True story. I can't make this shite up.

Saw Todd, Jay Manda and Dean Mansfield whip up on some Harley dudes at Don Carters one night. Wasn't pretty.
Jeffery McNemar was another BAMF you didn't want to mess with.

What was he name of that liquor store down by the Amite River (BR side) just before crossing on FL Blvd into DS? Coming from Sherwood it was down on the left. They would sell to 13 year olds!
It was Schrolers package liquor when we were going in the late 70's.I probably didn't spell it correctly.

I played against Wade before he went on to bigger and better things.
I don't know a Wade. My uncles and mom were Simoneaux's that went to Broadmoor in the late 60's and 70's. Jim, Randy, David, Jan and Will. They all grew up on Archer Dr and all but mom played football, well. Mom was most athletic at BHS either her Jr or senior year. Will was the youngest and I think he graduated the year I was born, '79.

That's the one!!! We learned about that place from some highschool kids on the football team summer between 8th & 9th grade. 50/50 chance they would let you buy w/o IDing you in 9th grade. 100% chance a guy outside would go in and buy for you if they actually ID'd you.
Eta: I think they had some dump bar attached to it. And possibly a single wide dump parked up against it.

Did the same thing on Brentwood with my dad's Gran Torino. I thought he was gonna kill me.
If you know Sims , did you know any Loupes Lemoines, McClendons or Guitreau's?
No matter where you would go with Sims, he would run into someone he knew, even if it was out of state. It was uncanny.

Wow crazy memories flooding back. I grew up there in the 90's and early 2000's, went to Broadmoor Methodist Church, lives right by the Winn Dixie off Goodwood.
Best times of my life
Was open immediately after Katrina, also found a roach IN AN EGG ROLL there when I was like 7 (1996)

Mike, Mark and Paul Loupe. Saw Paul yesterday and Mike was the chef for my wedding. Leon Lemoine, Andrew McClendon, Tiger Grace, Lenny Cardenas, David Bateman, I knew them all. Walked into W hotel bar in New York City a decade ago and saw Robert Rigard I'm thinking what are the odds of this and some dude from Dallas walks up and says "Robert what the frick are you doing here?" No shite.
Simms blew the motor in one of their Corvairs in the public beach parking lot Pensacola. Next day Robert show up in another Corvair with a third Corvair motor in the trunk and back seat and for a week they got hammered and swapped motors right there in that parking lot. Those guys are wide fricking open.
And since this expanded boundaries they grew up in Villa Del Ray so I hope it applies.

Crazy stuff about the Rigards. I know all of the guys you just mentioned. Hell, I was Mikes next door neighbor for about 15 years. Him being a chef, we always had great barbecues. Lots of good food.
