So doing business is now racist too. Awesome. Because apparently the intelligent business move of targeting a different demographic to increase sales from an untapped consumer base marginalizes others.

True. Never ask if their hair is real or not. Found out the hard way. You might as well ask how much she weighs while you're at it. Women don't like it

I saw the entire ad this morning. And I cannot even find a reason to be outraged or upset. Hogwash. But then I am neither black, nor a woman

which is ironic considering the company only got big by...realizing the demand of an untapped base (black women)

the real crazy part of this is this is a textbook example of real intentions of certain groups. the people who are legitimately upset at this ad are displaying their preference that their group not be treated equal to others and that it should be treated differently/separately

The commercial just trivialized the concerns and history Of its base

So by your logic, should products that historically have been marketed primarily toward white people stop advertising to blacks?

Would you be fine if something like Head & Shoulders or Pantene started making ads saying "Specially formulated for Caucasian hair!"?

Or would you be on here bitching about them being racist for excluding black women from their ads?

Yep. It's like caving in to the demands of a whining child. Next thing you know they are whining about everything....and that's where we are now.

I'm ready for a good solid common sense pushback on these idiots.

This is exactly what Trump owes his presidency to.

They should sell two versions of the product:

1. That Good Hair
2. Nappy

Third of all, it's defttone and just trivial the hair and perception issues many black women face. It's a shitty commercial to juxtapose black women beauty issues next to white women beauty issueS.

You make fun of them for weaves then make fun of them for their short natural hair. Can they win or not ?

What do you want them to do to fit into your supreme definition of beauty?

We all know the answer to this. It is only OK to pander to the differences between the races when Strong Safety thinks it is ok to do so..........

No that would imply we have the same or equal history. We don't.

End of story

Good hair is a self hate term and I beg black folks to stop using it. Hair isn't better becauSe it's straighter. It's slave / plantation lingo we need to drop
