Man... re-read what I said.
No, you said the rich dude got the best end of the deal.
Yes, youre really stupid. Unbelievably dumb.
Go ask the poor man this question, Jethro.

I was explaining why the rich man offered the poor man a job.
Why does the job need to be offered out of altruism? Who fricking cares?

You literally replied to me saying I worship the rich
quote:
I don’t hate the rich, but neither do I worship them. Have some self-respect.
This sentence says “I don’t hate them, but I don’t worship them. Have some self-respect”
This is inferring that I don’t have self-respect as I, in your eyes, worship the rich.

are you telling me that wealthy people aren't trickling their wealth down to working people and are instead buying everything up and pricing working people out and that the duopoly has encouraged this through fed policies that are only making this worse???
I don’t believe that is what he is saying at all. Do you have a standard reply you just copy and paste for these type of threads?

The problem with your arguments is that as that lower wage worker gets that 40k a year, rather than the 1k and living off of government assistance, they have more money and move up the ladder.
They aren't making enough money to move up the ladder in any appreciable way. In fact... with losing government benefits... they might be moving sideways.
Hence... why people don't want to work right now.

People owning businesses shouldn't feel guilty for improving peoples lives,
No one is saying they should feel guilty. However, praising them as heros is stupid. They are only hiring people to improve their own wealth (which of course is totally fine).

Where would we be as a society without these people?

People move up the ladder. Do you know how?
Its not magic or Gubment cheese, Jethro. They do it by advancing.
You are in the tiniest of bubbles and don't know any different.

Agreed but this board in general denies the wealth inequality issues that we currently have in this country.
You can't rent a one bedroom apartment anywhere in the US on minimum wage. That is a problem. Save me the "minimum wage is not meant to be a career" BS.
There are plenty of other issues that this board denies while simping for MegaCorps. Hopefully more folks will wake up.

Uh... I went in basic 10 year-ish brackets. With the second a year longer in order to tie into the fact that the first started a year before a decade did... and the third to get to your "pre-covid" point.
Interesting response when you are presented with facts.

One bedrooms are expensive. Splitting a 2 or 3 bedroom with roommates is far less expensive.
Why do you hate making prudent lifestyle choices within one’s budget?

Why the hell would the rich man do the deal if he's not going to get the best end of it?
