Can I get a show of hands from anyone who has dove in French Polynesia before?

I did on my honeymoon years ago off of Bora Bora. The clarity of the water is incredible. You see lots of morey eels. Also did the shark feeding thing on the reef. That was freaky. The guy that led it just stood on the reed and started chumming. Sharks swam right up to our faces and didn't bother him at all.

I've snorkeled there but Bora Bora has a reef surrounding it so it's one big natural lagoon.

The Cousteau’s feared the Oceanic White Tip more than any other shark. They said if you were caught with a couple of them in open water you would probably be shark shite in a few hours.

Aren't these frickers perpetually near starvation just because of their environment?

Oceanic Whitetips are the most dangerous sharks out there. Generally in the open ocean as apposed to being near the shore. They are the ones that prey on the survivors of sunken ships.
