"May be"? Of course it fricking is genetic. You think gay penguins honestly just spontaneously start preferring penguin dick to penguin pussy? frick no! A certain percentage of all animal populations are gay.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it's "genetic" in the sense that there is a specific gene that is completely or mostly responsible for sexual preference.

There is no gay gene. Science is not even close to identifying one. This is all political.

Educate me on why it matters, politically speaking, if gayness is genetic or a choice?

Interesting.

I'm going to get blasted for this, but I've kind of suspected this for a while.

Total redneck family.

I know one guy named Gene but he's straight.

So I haven't found a gay Gene.

It's both and it doesn't really matter if it's genetic or a choice. People should mind their own business and let people frick who they want...

Prison turns people gay? I just assumed rape was via a dominance and power motive. I figured if there were women in there, they'd be sexually assaulted.

I just always assumed it was lack of options.

If it is a genetic anomaly that lessens the chance of reproduction shouldn't it be dying out instead of rapidly expanding?

With the rapid growth of technology this doesnt really matter anymore.

No, foo. I'm not talking about the rape, but the punks. Some men go in straight, come out gay.

and I too don't think it matters one way or another. Gays don't ever get in the way of my pursuit of happiness. I just think America is way to obsessed with it, especially in the last 20 years or so. It's not worth all of this debate.
