Well shite, Reed Timmer is already chasing/driving on I40.
Never a good sign, but damn I miss their show on TV.

Looks like he’s headed towards Ft Smith.
I see cells popping up in eastern Arkansas,

They are, I already told my parents in Greenbrier to clear out their safe room if need be.

They did another one within the last couple years that really didn't get enough push. It is called Storm Rising. It was a good show, but didn't get picked up for another season.

Hail is already showing. Any storms that get going this evening will have a threat of large hail.

That one storm around Nashville and Murfreesboro might turn into something. But I’m no meteorologist.

First warning of the day up for the Fort Coffee area.

Big hail core on that storm now.
ETA: and of course the radar site is in the polygon. Open season on radars continues.

This cell looks no bueno for Ft Smith

If you go to idrivearkansas.com and bring up the traffic cameras, there is one in fort smith facing north that gives a good view

Yall werent kidding about if storms got going they'd have the juice.

What did radars ever do to supercells to deserve this?

I have no clue, but losing Ft. Smith to the first cell of the next couple days would be an absolute gut punch.

Duke correct me if im wrong here but the updraft will go directly over the radar site?

Your eye is as good as mine on the direction, barring any right turns.

Back home in central Arkansas working and visiting family, the sun poked out here for a little while about an hour ago and warmed the temps up to 83 according to my shitty little backyard weather station.
We're now down to 74 and complete cloud cover, that can't be good for the outlook... So far it looks like a couple cells popping off west of here and some disorganized rain on the radar, but the skies are looking scarier by the minute

Hail spike from both radars, East/West of the storm. They're a ways away, but it is evident.

I was going to comment earlier on the models showing good temp recovery. I didn't track temps and dews this time, though. 83° is a significant recovery.
