It's been pretty tame in Mobile all day. Actually looks like it's clearing up. Big storms tend to divert when they reach 251. One of the many blessings of being in God's Country

Am I the only one that gets disappointed when bad weather doesn't have lightning and thunder with it? I kinda feel cheated. I want sound effects

It's from the poster that I responded to in this thread.

Driving through parts of southern Mississippi and around Kentwood has that effect

You don't get as much lightning in these low instability/high shear events. Which is good if you enjoy not having hail damage.

Light rain out in Gretna. Looks like NOLA and the surrounding areas are gonna get out unscathed. Worst is north of us.
Weather is supposed to hit us around 3:30

It's crazy how the weather can be meh in one spot and terrible 5 miles away. It's been just drizzling in Metairie since around 10:30. Nothing serious. My dad said it just drizzled in Mandeville and wasn't windy at all.
You'd think with a tornado being at MSY, it might rain a little hard or have a tiny bit of wind in Metairie, but nope
