We are still getting heavy snow. Record cold all across the Interior of Alaska, never been a spring like this in recorded history.
At my house, I have gotten over 150" of snowfall since mid December. The ski area has over 500" The ice field over 1,000"

I don't know that I wouldn't rather deal with the possibility of tornadoes.

It's actually awesome.
April is my least favorite month, the extra snow sports will make it far more interesting.
City does a great job on the streets, the plow guy clears the driveway anytime it's over 2" deep.

Right? after we got 18 inches of snow in Little Rock back in February, I’ll gladly take the risk of a tornado. frick that much snow.

That's the kicker. Living in a city/area that is prepared for and used to big snow events makes all the difference. I wouldn't mind it if it didn't shut the world down where we are every time we get a dusting.

That's a pretty good updraft with that Sipsey storm now. Broad rotation and is getting taller. Significant hail risk increasing, probably.

The Alaskan panhandle has been under a parade of moisture practically all winter, so yeah not surprised.
It's been snow free here in the high elevations of the Rockies for about 10 days now. Looks like that streak will end by the middle of next week. At least we've had enough of a melt of the snow on the ground to have it basically gone except for under trees on north facing hills and above about 11.5k. So the snow next week will disappear fast.

What values are you looking for on CC for hail? Something just under 1.0 and in area of the heaviest precip on Reflectivity?

@EMAJeffCoAL
If you live in Northern Jefferson County, You need to be getting indoors ASAP. Wind driven tennis ball sized hail is possible with this storm.
This is VERY dangerous. Get yourselves and your animals inside NOW and away from windows.

I think they said there were two confirmed EF1s in Avoyelles on Wednesday night. We rode the one from Mansura out here at the house in Bordelonville. We had to get in the hallway for it the wind and the rain was the worst I seen ever. Rain was pounding the front of the house and as quickly as a second it switched to the back of the house. Can I tell you that was scary when it did that. It was close at that point and I told the wife and kids to hold on. Hoping for an easier night tonight. Be safe everyone.

It was mostly rain in fall of 2020, probably didn't have 25-30 inches but mid Jan it exploded.
They shoot avalanches across the channel from the house, it's been fun watching them come down.

I'm seeing legit supercell structure from my back porch.
That never happens.
