People are upset that this is playing out literally exactly how the NWS said it would. I'll never understand it. All of the discussions and official forecasts are archived to read.
People watch mets on the local station, or God forbid The Weather Channel, who are there for entertainment more than anything else, then act like the NWS was wrong. You can go straight to the experts and cut through all the froth.

I get being irrationally upset when forecast for snow doesn't materialize

Oh, no you don't, motherfricker. You've been trolling all afternoon about how the mets missed it. Don't start trying to pretend now that you are mad at local officials for jumping the gun on closures.

This is twice in a row the baton rouge area was supposed to get extremely severe weather that was hyped for a week, and then all the area got were ordinary thunderstorms. The NWS and local weather guys need to stop making these lines of thunderstorms out to be the end of the world. Yes, Jackson is getting it very bad but all of south LA shouldn't have shut down.
