Believe me, y'all have enough trash at that festival. Don't need to import any.

No shite. The locals can provide enough trash on their own without any help.

why does your graphic say Sunday? Thought this is for Saturday?

It is for Saturday. Sunday will be beautiful weather in Louisiana. Points further east will have severe threats on Sunday and I believe specifically the Mobile, Florida panhandle, up to Birmingham areas will be under the gun then.

From another site I frequent often during times of significant weather:
Most EF-3+ tornadoes develop in areas above 1 BUT not all areas over 1 produce tornadoes. These graphics simply show how favorable for tornadic development the atmosphere will be.

Mode of storm matters when you look at those STPs.
Get a rouge supercell and the odds jump significantly of getting a severe tornado. In a line, and it's a different story.
Model soundings for us tomorrow are the "best" setup for severe weather we've seen this spring. 2 kJ on the CAPE. Not rowdy shear but enough and that's the set up that gets us the worst severe weather. Additionally the LIX discussion this morning points to the potential of a weak low spinning up over SELa tomorrow morning and pulling quickly NE. That would serve to enhance all the factors that contribute to a severe threat.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see somewhere in SELa and MS to get into the moderate risk tomorrow.
Right now though, all weather eyes up to the Arklatex. Live set up in play today up there.

Just bring your weather radio and a gun. You'll be fine.

Might be a test to see how well New Orleans has cleared out their drains.

I was reading earlier how there's a pretty good chance of the supercell type variety of storms tomorrow out ahead of the front for us. Tomorrow will be rocky, for sure.

Pretty much. I'm reading 11-6 but that's just simply an estimate.

It's going to be hard to sell me on that with the big moisture that's available and how we don't usually get discrete cells really get rolling down here. That little low LIX mentioned developing might be a spark for some out in front though.
I think the rain and straight line winds are the biggest worries but obviously there's enough tornado threat to be super aware tomorrow morning. Hail at least isn't likely to be a huge issue with how warm the column is overall.
