And then you waited a month to post it here?

Sure you do. In today's world, we must constantly be shown respect, otherwise our entitled pussy society can bitch about it on a social media platform.

It irritates me when people just spew word salad. Words have meanings.

My daughters are just fine without a service dog. However, they could certainly benefit from it... dick

Very true. I had/have a vest for my old lab so I could take her into places with me. Never had anyone ask me about her but she was extremely calm and there was never an issue. When my current lab gets a little older and calmer I will slip him in the vest to take him where I please.
You don't need a badge or any other official paperwork. Just say when asked A) the animal is a service animal, B) he alerts me before I have a seizure and C) is capable of being silent and calm.
Don't be a dick with your dog and you get a ton more leeway.

If you don't have a legit need, then you are another entitled jerk. Terrible.

While we are regulating everything else, why not require a 1 million Dollar insurance policy for these type dogs? Dirt cheap if it is a Labrador, or some other Docile breed. Very very expensive if it's a pitbull type breed. Mandate it like you would automobile insurance.
Why don't we regulate posters from AL off this board for posting asinine non-sense??

We did a a candy sale fundraiser at Sams today and one puked all over the place in the center of the tables with all but 3 tables empty. Wrong time to be walking to the bathroom

While I appreciate you trying to be respectful to everyone and make sure your dog is under control, why do you bring animals out anyways?

Because I enjoy my dog the same way other people enjoy their children. And my dog is better behaved than most children.

Yes, the odds are on your side. If something did happen I think it would be an issue. I believe they need to change the law so that I can ask for verification that the animal has completed training covered by the ADA. At that point, I can safely assume that the dog can operate in public.

There is a lot of the ADA that I have an issue with, but I'm not sure that is where we need to start. And not all training is the same. A piece of verification is both easy to fabricate and isn't verifiable with the current system we have. The last thing we need is more bureaucracy over something that is just about a non-issue.

Wrong. Off hand, I know of service dogs being used for people who suffer with seizures and anxiety attacks.

It's a non-issue until the lawyers jumps in and small businesses start getting hit with lawsuits. Somebody's ES dog that isn't properly trained will bite someone and a savvy lawyer will find negligence on the business's part.
I am epileptic (do not have a dog) but I am very familiar with these. They are great and help prevent harmful falls.

People aren't allergic to kids. You just do what you wnat and frick everyone else, right? All because you deem your dog to be well behaved?

The sentiment is sweet but it's an animal. Most of society realizes they do not belong in a grocery store etc, no matter how attached the owner may be.

Y'all are assuming that there is some sort of regulatory body when it comes to service dogs.. there isnt any.. all one needs to do is send off $12 to Amazon along with a pic of your pet, and they will send you a virtual badge that you keep on your phone and whip out if anyone questions you..that said, no one is legally allowed to question you.. the one and only question anyone (Uber drivers, store clerks, etc) are allowed to ask is 'Is this a service animal?' If your answer is Yes, they have to stop the questions , by law.. I'm not the kind of a-hole who would take advantage of this by bringing my dog into a 5 star restaurant of something (though legally you could)-- but I wouldn't mind getting my dog registered so that if, for instance, i have to evacuate from a hurricane and book a hotel somewhere, they cant legally turn me away b/c i have a dog with me.
